Bought this for a media wall I'm building and got to say it's a fantastic fire. The flame effect is probably one of the best I've seen. Would highly recommend
Love this - better than I expected
Always a bit of a gamble buying online but thought the review photos and videos looked good. Having installed it into my media wall yesterday I'm so impressed with it. Really easy to install and looks fabulous on the orange setting. I love that you can use the flame effect without heat. Very cosy vibe.
Only slight niggle is that the fixing screws for the glass should be black, not silver, but I imagine I can source replacements.
Also unsure what the crystals are for!
It isn't fully installed, I set it onto the stand I've made for it to test sizes and to test the fireplace itself. It looks good and runs perfectly.
A couple of downsides - the beeping noise made when changing anything is rather loud, should be a setting to adjust that volume. And the other is the sizing is slightly off on both the website and the instructions. I got the 70" and built a unit based off the sizes on the specification to 1778mm wide, whilst this is correct for the fireplace itself, the screws used on the side of the fireplace are not countersunk screws - these protrude 2-3mm out which adds to the overall width. Keep that in mind if you're building a unit to house the fireplace into, I built mine to exactly 1778mm and the fireplace went in fine until it reached the screws - will need to make adjustments.
So pleased with my 50" recessed fire. Blends in well with the rest if the decor.
